I've been insanely busy. But, things are starting to chill out.
Got my XBOX 360 again, and now back on XBOX Live...
Wait'n on Training Camp.
I can't wait for football to start!

To be honest, I'm hope'n against hope that this new Defensive coaching staff just turns up the wick on what we all know is a very talented Defensive squad.
Meeks got a "Freeny" type DE for himself in teh draft... and if it works out for him, and Peppers stays.. UH OH NFL. lol ;)
other than that, Jake is gonna have a chip on his shoulders, and we're play'n some really tough teams this season, so, we'll see how it goes.

I liek the direction in which we are heading. We have been getting players who are hgih on character and getting rid of all the "me-first" type of players. I am really hoping JaMarcus Russell lives up to his expectations and silences his critics this season.

I've not followed up much, but how is your WR corp? I know you drafted that kid that's fast.. but, I wonder if you'll end up picking up Drew Carter again?
I don't see him on the roster... think he was only a one year guy, and he got busted up. (tho I'm have to say it's normal) he's good when he's not broken.

me too... I know from years past that that raiders were the air it out team.. and Drew has/had wheels!
I figured he'd show up there... but got hurt again. :(

Did you see the first game we had against the Cards?
they were beating the Panthers (A home again also) until 15 seconds left in the 3rd quarter. (at that point we were in ONE point)
We won by 4. they got what they needed to whoop our asses, and Jake had a horrid game. Just like he did after the last "bye week" when they went to Oakland and he got picked 4 times.
But, you all lost. :huh:

doesn't matter. it shows they were that close to doing that same thing to the Panthers in the first game. Lucky for us then, the Panthers were a little fresher on the Defense and they held it together at the end.
I can't say that same thing about the playoff game. Jake's turnovers didn't help... and that's all anyone looks at. but, the Defense didn't stop Fitz ALL game.
Oh well.
This season will be better. Hopefully, the Raiders season will be too.

Jake isn't a god at QB, he's a manage the game QB... and that works with the run game John Fox likes to use. Until this past season we lost that "run game" until 08. Then the team used more "air it out" game in the playoffs, which to this day baffles me... and the Defense couldn't cover Fitz to save their lives.
The run game is back the offense is now been together solid for one full season.. all the starters are back.
Wait and see what happens. I don't see his magic as gone, but more on hiatus.
