STROLLING THROUGH the fight-night crowd Saturday sporting a New York Yankees cap and designer backpack, an unlit stogie dangling from his lips, JaMarcus Russell was all swagger and comfort, the picture of the good life.

I am fine with him having a life. So what if he went to the Ward fight? What is he supposed to be a monk? The media makes too much of this shit. What up with the Yankee hat though? LOL But when it comes time to produce he better do that or you will see #7 QB the Raiders this year by week 5-6.

This may actually be a reality, but I think Russell walks around so nonchalant because he KNOWS Al is gonna stick by him out of pure stubbornness.
I hope he really does succeed cuz if not, we're set back at the most important position on offense.....again.
Cable said "It's good to go out there and say "I'm going to go out there and sling it and win this game, watch this", that's great bravado. Fact is you have to prepare yourself to be in that situation. You have to prepare yourself to be ready to deliver in that situation"
What does that fucking say??
Anybody who has 1/10 of a fucking brain can take that and partially process that comment into "Jamarcus has to work harder".
But people who see shit as simple as black and white prefer to take comments for face value. Sometimes out of convenience.
Shit, I want Jamarcus to do good. We will see if he takes initiative this week. These cats are sending him some wake up calls.

Thats what Ive been thinking and saying since he came into camp PHYSICALLY unprepared. Just a bad impression from the start of the season IMO

Russell and the entire team needs to step up. As the QB Russell will take most of the heat but that does not give the rest of the team a free pass. Football is a team sport and every player must do their part. Russell must read the defense and throw to the right WR accurately. The offensive line must give him the time to make his reads and the WR's must run the correct routes and get open.

Agreed 110...Ill add the playcaller needs to be realistic and take what the defense gives them, get a rhythm and not try to be overzealous.
