Pablo Dylan, a 15-year-old rapper, can call Bob Dylan a grandpa, and he's proud of it.
"I mean, really, my grandfather, I consider him the Jay-Z of his time, and he definitely has a legacy that a lot of people look up to," Pablo Dylan told AllHipHop.com. "He feels strongly about my music and I love him to death."
The youngster who just wrote, rapped and produced his first mixtape credits Eminem and his first album, "The Eminem Show," for inciting his great love of hip-hop.
"We just put out the mixtape '10 Minutes.' We got like 50,000 views on that, and I just got back in the studio to work on things and perfect everything," said the teen, son of Jesse Dylan, music video director to Lenny Kravitz, Tom Petty and more.
The budding artist also understands the vast differences in his and his grandfather Bob's era-defining style. Still, Pablo credits him as an inspiration.
"Of course we do two different things, and I don't want people to see me for what he has done," Pablo said. "But, what I have done, I mean from a musical and personal standpoint, is definitely influenced by him."
"Everyone around me influences me, and I have learned so much from him just listening to his records, but I hope his music continues to live on through what I continue to do the rest of my life," he continued, a comment that would make any grandpa proud.
