They need to just put a bomb between the coliseum and Oracle, and rebuild both of them.

An A's stadium in downtown would be huge for Oakland. Any city that's serious about redeveloping needs to start with making their downtown appealing. Look at what the Staples Center did for LA - that can happen with a ballpark in Oakland.

Sadly, I don't think anything can stop the Warriors from moving to SF. They want to be accessible via BART and CalTrain, they want the "San Francisco" naming convention, etc.

moving to SF would be major fail. They will not do better attendance wise moving. In fact it may hurt them. They already are good when i comes to attendance. No one wants to go out to SF, shit is too much hassle even on Bart! Like it or not where all three teams are now is the best land in the bay for the teams cause of how accessible it is. I can see the A's going downtown though but I still say rebuild all three venues right where they are now! Its the best thing for the entire Bay Area.

By just making SF an attraction does not help the Bay Area. You need to fix Oakland (sorry Rob). Take the teams away and there is no turning back for Oakland, if all hope isn't already gone!

A lot of the Warriors season ticket money comes from West Bay companies though, that's how they continue to do well despite sucking shit. I think they want to be close to the CalTrain so Silicon Valley has better access to games, and they'd still be close to BART.

I don't see how taking BART to the city is a "hassle," it's 100x easier than driving.

yeah but compared to taking Bart to the coliseum going to the city sucks especially during commute hours. The stadium is usually always full on any given night!
