And when asked about it by the Oakland Trib, Raiders' PR executive Amy Trask said, "We are exploring — and keeping an open mind with respect to — all opportunities to create a world-class stadium for our fans and our team, and this includes keeping an open mind with respect to a shared stadium, longtime Raiders executive Amy Trask told MediaNews on Friday."

Dont wanna share a stadium with those fuckers, but then again dont want them to move from the Bay Area. From an economic/financial standpoint however it makes sense as they'll double their revenenue, due to double the games.

As with the A's they also wanted to tap into the San Jose market with that failed move to Fremont, and the Giants realized that San Jose/South Bay is a big Cash Cow to them and they'll do all they can legally to stop the A's.

San Jose(Pop. 1.2 Million) is the 3rd largest city in California behind Los Angeles, and San Diego, and this doesnt surprise me at all seeing everyone wanting to break into it fulltime......but I'd view a shared stadium as a last option.

I can't imagine the fucking tailgate rules that would be in place down there.......been harassed by law many times in the area.

that would just plain suck!!! Maybe share a stadium with them for 1-2 years while they tear down the coliseum and build a new coliseum right on teh same lot as the old one.

Long live the Coliseum.

Honestly as long as they stay in Nor Cal I am cool. As for sharing they already share with the A's and I am sick of seeing the Raiders kicking and playing in the dirt when the home games overlap the baseball season.

Yeah the dirt sucks. The A's should get their own pad in Oakland and the Raiders should get a few upgrades to the Col. (new jumbo tron).

That's my ideal situation.

I do not think anything going to get passed by taxpayers for new stadium since they are already getting gouged by California's high taxes in Oakland.

I could be wrong here, but I don't see any way in hell that Al would share a stadium with those niner homos. The Coliseum in badly outdated but it just seems way too far-fetched that we'd end up smoking the Peace Pipe with those queers and post up in the same venue with them.

If/when Marc Davis is calling the shots, who knows.

Man, I'm 110% agreement there. There is no built-in beef with the locals, and that's why I FUCKING HATE charger fans more than anything else in the world. When the camera pans their crowd during their home games, you just get a sense of pure bitchness. Bunch of straight up ass-plugging bandwagon pole-smokers. Fuck the Chargers.

I have one huge problem with this, and it makes me sad as shit.

It's not the fact that they're moving to Santa Clara. Much like the A's move to Fremont, a lot of ado is being made about a short drive. It's tough to make money in Oakland and the city is run by morons and overrun by crime.

It's not the fact that they'd share a stadium with the 49ers. So what? The games are played on different days; you'll never have to see a Niners fan if you don't want to.

My friends, what you're seeing here is Al finally waving the white flag.

Say what you will about the scummy owners, run down stadium, and wine-sipping environment at games, the 49ers run the Bay Area. They sell out every week and have a local fanbase that crushes ours. Their talk dominates local sports radio. They are the big draw in the Bay Area, but know they'd be in the top 20 in revenue generation if they could just upgrade their facilities.

Al knows no stadium owner will take on the Raiders by themselves. The team isn't making good money, not drawing well, and not getting a full season's worth of local TV revenue. Faith in them is at an all-time low and will remain that way until Al steps down or passes on. That said, they are much more appealing as a throw-in with the 49ers because that's 16 NFL games a year. You know the Niners will sell out 8 and bring the big ad revenue, while the Raiders = bonus money because it's extra exposure for the same ads.

Why would Al go into business with people he dislikes and doesn't trust? He has a history of beef with Carmen Policy and talks about the guy like a straight up criminal. This reeks of desperate measures. Al knows the Niners are the gem of the deal and is still considering it?

But damn, maybe Al should feel like shit that this was all self induced...

He could have avoided all of this if he didnt have such a self serving and ego driven craze for glory and a penchant for speed demons.

First of all have you ever been in Oakland? Morons run most of the cities in america and most major cities have crime. Al could make money in Oakland If he would put a winning team on the field instead of a bunch of has beens and over paid stiffs. Second the 9ers only have a larger fan base because when Al moved the team to L.A. he lost thousands of die hards. When he moved the team back most of these die hards ( myself included ) refused to buy season tickets and told Al to kiss our collective azz's. If Al does share a field with the 9ers it will only be to make more money, Al does not give a fuck about the fans in Oakland, L.A. or anywhere else.

I would not be shocked If Al moved the team back to L.A. Al is a back stabbing mofo and will fuck over Oakland again in a heart beat If he can make some money.

First of all have you ever been in Oakland?

I've obviously been to Oakland because I've gone to Raiders home games. I lived in the Bay for a year and had a good amount of friends there, and have gone up several times since.

Morons run most of the cities in america and most major cities have crime.

New Orleans
Camden, NJ
Detroit
St. Louis
Oakland
Flint, Mich.
Gary, Ind.
Birmingham, Ala.
Richmond, Calif.
North Charleston, SC

These are the most dangerous cities in the US. The only major city on here not currently in danger of losing its team is Detroit. The rest of them don't even have teams. There's just not a whole lot of money to be made in Oakland. The property values aren't very high and the area never gets better. From a personal standpoint, I'd love to see that change, but if I was a businessman, it's just not a place I'd want my business if I could do it elsewhere.

Al could make money in Oakland If he would put a winning team on the field instead of a bunch of has beens and over paid stiffs.

Why didn't he make much when the team was kicking ass then?

I agree with you. I'm not saying the Bay just hates the Raiders. I'm saying Al already killed off a ton of his fanbase and that fanbase just keeps getting smaller. People do 49ers chants at Giants games! They run the area and will continue to run the area.

Al made a huge effort to stay in LA but it wasn't happening. He has a home here and spends a great deal of time in it. His son loves Los Angeles and spends as much time here as he can. I really believe if he's got the chance to come back, and he will because it's what he wanted from the get-go. You'd be surprised at how many members of the Raiders front office and staff actually reside in Los Angeles and take the 45 minute Southwest puddle jumper a couple of times a week to handle their biz.

Oakland is pretty unsafe, but remember, we're not talking about MY perspective. When a city gets that kind of a rep, the property values, and as a result the commodities in those properties, drop through the floor.

All you know about Oakland is what you have come across during your time at Raider games and the year you spent in the area as well as your few visits. I've been in Oakland going on 61 years, you really don't know much about Oakland only what you have read. As I stated before all major cities have crime.

Their is plenty of money to be made in Oakland, Oakland has always been a working class city. Have you ever been to the Oakland Hills or Piedmont? Property values are down all over the country not just Oakland. If you were a businessman it's your choice where you want to put your business. If you don't like Oakland don't come to Oakland.

Oakland is pretty unsafe, but remember, we're not talking about MY perspective. When a city gets that kind of a rep, the property values, and as a result the commodities in those properties, drop through the floor.

Thousands of Oakland residents have no problem living in Oakland. Oakland has crime just like most other major cities. As I stated before If you feel unsafe in Oakland don't come to Oakland.

yea in another article Chip Rosebloom said he has no intentions on moving them outta st louis.

Last year, when a report surfaced that the Rams were being shopped, Rosenbloom released a written statement that stopped short of definitively saying that the team wouldn't be sold, but read in part that he had "every intention of keeping the Rams in St. Louis."

I wanted the raiders to move to L.A. since I live here now...but the raiders are of Oakland and belong there...besides when my baby boy gets older I'm flying up every home game anyway....

Now...we could build a stadium in Oakland and probably garner good will if Al gave the city they 280 or 180 million the bonded out to get them back..not sure of the financials but putting a stadium in Oakland and insisting that it was built with american parts and lumber would give a huge shot in the arm to Oakland as a concert venue again...just imagine what it would do for the city?

We are the bitch in this deal. Just step down already Al so your son can move the team back to LA. Honestly, moving back to Los Angeles would save more face than moving into what is basically the Niners' stadium.
