I'm a hard rock/metal head from back in the day. I don't know why, but I have never been a fan of Van Halen. They just never appealed to me and they still don't. I don't hate them, but I wouldn't walk across the street to see them for free...lol.

They bought to takeover from the Stones & weak ass U2 as the " top touring band" around. Quintessential Raider music, and Dave always made reference to the "Raiders" over the years.

Naw.... Greatest "American" rock band goes to America's original hard rock band. They hailed from Flint Michigan and their name was a play on words from the Grand Trunk Railroad. I bet I don't even have to tell you who they are. :D

It's an absolute shame they aren't in the Rock Hall of Fame....................... and Abba is. :nono:
