View Full Version : Most hated team!

So this is kind of a response to uncle cheapshot's thread about which team(s) you might root for or you cheer for when nobody is looking. Here is where we talk about which team you hate the most and why! :2guns

For me it's EASILY the San Diego Super Chokers. I know the queefs and donkeys are more traditional rivals, but nothing makes my blood boil more than those super-charged fairies and their testicle-licking fans. I hate fake LT, I hate Rivers, I hate Merrifag, I hate AJ Smith, basically I morbidly despise everything about them! :punch:

It's hard to pick just one so I'll discuss several of them (in no particular order).

Denver Broncos: Denver really began to be a big rival to us in the late 70s upon the arrival of their Orange Crush defense coached by Red Miller. Players like Tom Jackson hated us and wanted nothing more than to beat us. The Rob Lytle fumble in the 1977 AFC Championship was once of the worst calls we have ever had against us, that stole the game for Denver. We hated them then and things only got worse. We were close to getting Elway & we would've got him had it not been for Pete Rozelle voiding the trade at the last minute, he went to Denver instead. Also the head Donkey, Mike "Rat" Shanahan. He is still so fucking butt-hurt over the fact that Al Davis refused to give him the rest of his money after he got fired as our head coach in the late 80s.

Pittsburgh Steelers: In every big game oas of late, it seems the referees always make the most crucial calls in favor of them solely based on their large fanbase & mostly of what they accomplished in the past. Just ask the Seahawks in 2005 & the Cardinals in 2008 when they got screwed by the officials in their Super Bowls against the Steelers. Also, in the 70s the Steelers were our Arch Rival. From the Immaculate DEception to the 1976 season where we finally stood up to them and won the AFC Championship en route to our first Super Bowl title and everything in between. Chuck Noll, while knowing his players were just as vicious, went crying abuot Atkinson being a "criminal" out on the field after clotheslining Lynn Swann, forcing Atkinson to sue Noll for slander. Not to mention the sight of their Terrible Tampon waving fans at every Steeler game, at Heinz Field & on the road.

New England Patriots: The Tuck Rule was one of the most painful moments hands down in my life. IT WAS A FUMBLE! My hatred for New England reached a fever pitch during their pursuit of "Perfection". The fact that they spied on other teams (hence Spygate) during their dynasty years just proves that they are nothing but a bunch of classless cheaters. I was so fucking happy when the Giants upset New England in the Super Bowl. When Tom Brady went down the following year for the season I was singing the "Na Na Hey Hey Goodbye" song to him through my T.V. Screen. That is how much I hate the Patsies.

Growing up in the Bay Area I hated the 49ers with a passion! It ruined my day when they won, and in the 80's they ruined a lot of my days. But as soon as Jerry Jones took over the Dallas Cowboys my hate completely shifted to the Cowboys. I hated Jimmy Johnson at Miami and him teamed up with Jerry Jones made me side with the 49ers in their 90's rivalry.

Anyway after living in Texas for 5 years in the 90's just cemented my hate for the Cowboys, and after all the losing the Raiders have done these past six seasons, the win over the Dallas Cowboys in Oakland a few years ago was great thing to witness!

I have to say the Steelers! Mostly because of their newly bred homer type buffoon fans!

I do respect the Steelers die hard fans, because they know about their favorite team and they pay attention to the opponents also.

These new breed of Steelers fans are just downright annoying and can barley name 5 players on that team.

And for Gods sakes Steelers fans, of course you're going to have fans everywhere when over half of the population of your City bails to other parts of the Country!!!

San Diego Chargers and it's not even close for anyone else. I think SoCal Raider fans hate the Chargers like NorCal fans hate the 49ers, since proximity usually breeds contempt. Hahaha! +1

6-7 years ago, it woulda probably been the Broncos, for me, but it's most definitely the Chargers, now. There's nothing worse than sitting next to my brother-in-law (the Charger fan) while they're handing us our asses, yet again.

Oh, and leaving the Q after a loss, and being taunted by bandwagon SD fans, really-really-really fucking sucks.

I really thought it was going to happen in 2006, then Rob Ryan switched to the soft zone and the refs bailed Vincent Jackson out of the game-blowing boner of the year. That was a tough walk to the car.

Even if I WAS an old school OG Raider fan, but I'm only 22 years old, I would think that the Denver Broncos were our biggest divisional rival. Mostly because they are the closest to us in Super Bowl titles & the fact that they had The Rat as their head coach. Kansas City's old head coach, Herman Edwards, isn't really a Raider Hater like Schottenheimer & Shanahan are, in fact he actually respects the Raiders. But I digress so, even though The Rat got fired, I still hate the Donks more than the Queefs & the Dolts.

Naw man. My kid gets a preseason game, and I brought him to the Patriots game. The rest of the year is drunken debauchery for me. I brought my homie Miguel there, and we were loud and pissed. If it wasn't Elway, it was definitely Mike Shanahan. He hated us & ESPECIALLY Al Davis the minute he got fired. He was the most obsessed with beating us than anybody our team has come across. When he came to Denver, it put our feud with Denver over the top as our biggest one. Even though AT THAT TIME the Chiefs had another Raider Hater, Marty Schottenheimer as their head coach. I have to disagree with you, there were 3 questionable personal foul calls on the same 3rd quarter drive. There was no review of the final play, which was reviewed a "fumble" & ruled in favor of the Steelers by the refs. Let's not forget that during Harrison's return for a touchdown at Halftime, Kurt Warner would've been able to make the touchdown-saving tackle had his jersey not been held & grabbed by another Steeler

You must have been one of these Raiders fans who adopted the Cardinals because they got sappy for Kurt Warner's story...

By the way, if you said GO CARDINALS without having money on the game, F U.

First off, holding and grabbing happens on every single down in the NFL. Second off, the refs aren't going to stop one of the greatest plays in Super Bowl history on the assumption that KURT WARNER (that's old white man QB Kurt Warner) was going to bring down JAMES HARRISON (that's large athletic linebacker James Harrison).

The final play of the game was a fumble. If it was reviewed, it would have been a fumble. I guess you weren't around before 2002 or you would definitely know the tuck rule by now. Warner's arm never went forward with the ball in it, and even if they rule AZ ball, they have one play to score a really really deep touchdown against one of the three best defenses in NFL history.

BTW, the Steelers got hosed on some calls too, but I guess you don't notice them when you're wearing red jerseys and praying for Kurt Warner.

You have to stop being so abrasive. I NEVER cheered for the Cards because I felt sorry for Kurt Warner. I cheered for them because I have always hated the Steelers, number one, & number two I wanted no part of seeing them win a 6th Super Bowl. I wasn't even wearing a Cards jersey. in 2005 when Pitt played Seattle they had a crucial call go their way late in the game. However, like Hill stated, this past season they won the game fair and square. I think both teams got away with some things.. Yet at the end of the day, PITT made more plays. Arizona had a chance to win it, but their D got its ass handed to them during the last drive. PITT converted two key third downs, and ARIZONA allowed Holmes to get a lot of YAC during that last drive...

And really, Zona does not have a following... I only wanted them to win for the fact that PITT already had 5 rings.

That's bit of an exaggeration. I just think that Rooney is more patient with coaches and their are other people in that organization who makes him look extremely good (nothing wrong with that...) He is similar to what Buss is doing in LA, very similar.

I look at Davis in terms of not just what he does for the team but what he has done for the league.

Talk about the pot calling the kettle black.

Besides, if it really WAS a fumble, the refs should've taken time to REVIEW to make sure they got the call right. It's the Super Bowl, no team wants to get screwed out of a Super Bowl victory because of bad calls here and there.

What about James Harrison at one play punching a Cardinal player a couple of times, he should've been thrown out of the game. What about Santonio Holmes using the ball and heaving it in the air ala LeBron James when he scored that game-winning TD? That should've been illegal celebration & 15 yards on kickoff, no flags were thrown for both of them.

That Pittsburgh/Seattle Bowl was a one-sided job by the zeebs, and the Pittsburgh/Arizona Bowl wasn't much different...

Yea thats fine... Al has done some revolutionary things. But that isn't enough to hang your hat on when it comes down to the real issue at hand..

The man hasn't done shit in 6 years. He struck the odds in 98-2002 during the Gruden era Before that was a dismal 15 year stretch with a few decent years peppered in between.

When I say Rooney is 10 x's the owner Al is, I am saying it from a functional standpoint not reflective.

I don't even agree from a functional standpoint that Rooney is ten times the owner. Remember PITT had been in a super bowl drought for 20+ years prior to 2005..

PITT has won on a more consistent basis since the 90s (remember what Pitt was liked during the 80s.)...

Still, with me, I look at everything, not just football. I look at impacts on the game, social ramification, etc...

And what about you crying over the fact that I was cheering for the Cards instead of the Steelers like you were, even saying I had a Cards jersey & felt sorry for Kurt when you weren't with me at the time of the Super Bowl...And yet you label my view of the fumble as a bad call, whining? Talk about the pot calling the kettle black.

I wasn't CHEERING for the Steelers. I don't cheer for other teams.

Besides, if it really WAS a fumble, the refs should've taken time to REVIEW to make sure they got the call right. It's the Super Bowl, no team wants to get screwed out of a Super Bowl victory because of bad calls here and there.

Are you saying Arizona would have gotten a 50+ yard touchdown on the next play?

It should have been reviewed but look at the replay, it was a fumble. The call was still correct. Therefore, no one got screwed.

What about James Harrison at one play punching a Cardinal player a couple of times, he should've been thrown out of the game.

WAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!

Are you a Raiders fan? You know how many games the Raiders won by getting away with cheap shots and punches like that? Cheating happens on every NFL play.

What about Santonio Holmes using the ball and heaving it in the air ala LeBron James when he scored that game-winning TD? That should've been illegal celebration & 15 yards on kickoff, no flags were thrown for both of them.

AAAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHHAHAHA You're going to call an illegal celebration for celebrating a touchdown with under a minute left in the SUPER BOWL??? Seriously? Wow. No ref in his right mind makes that call. If that happened to the Raiders, you'd be screaming bloody murder.

I agree silver & black the reason we are in the fucked up condition we are in now is because of Al's bull:shit:ing ass way of running this organization. Everybody knows what Al has done in the past and I'm tired of hearing that :shit:. What is he doing now? We just passed on two franchise LT's, a stud defensive tackle and two outstanding WR's to draft another project with blazing speed who has "problems" catching the ball. Think about that for a minute, we used our first pick in the draft on a WR who has problems catching the ball! We still have the same ass weak front seven on defense and our safety's still suck. I don't want to hear :shit: about Mitchell's ass because he has not played one down in the NFL and what he did in college don't mean :shit: until he does it in the NFL. I wish Al would just relax and hire a Director of Football Operations who in turn would hire a General Manager who in turn would hire a veteran NFL Head Coach or a up and coming NFL assistant as Head Coach and let the new HC hire his entire staff. I'm not sold on Cable's :shit: talking ass. Win some games then start talking.

I was pulling for Arizona but not for Kurt Warner (I can't stand him). I didn't want to see the Steelers being the only team with 6 SB's, shit I didn't want to see them get that 5th one either.

But the Cards shot themselves in the foot with that decision to get 7 instead of 3 before the half and that turnover became 7 points for Pittsburgh.

KC Chiefs
Philadelphia Eagles
Denver Broncos
SD Chargers
SF 49ers
NE Patriots

As for the rooting for other teams....meh, I don't bet on sports generally, so If I root for a team, it's often because I hate the other team, not cause I "like" one or the other. I didn't root for anyone to win the Super Bowl, but I can say I prefered that the Cards to beat Shittsburgh, cause....well, I hate those damned Sqeelers - even if I do respect their organization. Brenda Warner can take his ass back to baggin groceries for all I care.

Broncos for me, followed by whoever the next best team is in our division besides us, which right now is SD. Now that Cutler is gone I dont hate them as much as I did though.

So why are you so blind to good calls? And why do you want excessive celebration flagged with less than a minute in the Super Bowl? If that stuff happened to the Raiders you'd be furious.

Steeler fans/homers/etc. would also say stuff like what you are saying here AGAINST the Cards, what makes that any different?

I had no vested rooting interest in the game and you did. I didn't make false statements about the validity of calls and you did.

If there is anybody on a high horse it is you. I also have the right to agree or disagree with you whenever I see fit. However, when I told you MY opinions regarding the calls, YOU decided to resort to talking down to me. Which is no better than how I reacted to your condescending posts.

Here's your problem: while you have the right to agree or disagree, your opinion is based on FALSE PRETENSES. You gave the opinion that the Steelers had the Super Bowl handed to them by the refs. When asked to justify that opinion, you gave bullshit reasons. Your entire theory was predicated on three things: Kurt Warner being able to catch up to and tackle James Harrison, NFL officials flagging a ball spike on a top 5 catch in Super Bowl history, and the Cardinals being able to convert one impossibly long play against a top 5 defense in NFL history (assuming the refs would overturn the fumble, which they wouldn't because it WAS A CORRECTLY CALLED FUMBLE).

It's time for class and Sonic Raider is today's student.

First: here's a video of the fumble with the head of NFL officiating explaining that the play was actually reviewed. As you can clearly see, while it looks like Warner's arm moves forward before the fumble, the defender makes contact with the ball prior to the arm motion.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5IqJA9QbfXg

Second, I'd like to explain what an opinion is.

o⋅pin⋅ion  [uh-pin-yuhn] Show IPA
Use opinion in a Sentence
–noun
1. a belief or judgment that rests on grounds insufficient to produce complete certainty.
2. a personal view, attitude, or appraisal.
3. the formal expression of a professional judgment: to ask for a second medical opinion.
4. Law. the formal statement by a judge or court of the reasoning and the principles of law used in reaching a decision of a case.
5. a judgment or estimate of a person or thing with respect to character, merit, etc.: to forfeit someone's good opinion.
6. a favorable estimate; esteem: I haven't much of an opinion of him.

That's all an opinion is. Having one is not a big deal, therefore your opinion is not some golden goose everyone has to protect. You love this "THAT'S MY OPINION YOU HAVE YOURS" act, as if by posting on a discussion board, we are not allowed to critique and rip the opinions of others. When an opinion is not based in any kind of fact or reality, we can rip it all we want. Either defend your opinion or bow out like a bitch, but don't go running behind daddy's leg and tug on his pants. "THE BIG BAD GUY ON THE RAIDER WEBSITE SAID I'M AN IDIOT." Grow up.

EDIT: I just remembered an old Maddox column about this and wanted to post the pic/quote.

"Well that's just your opinion:" This one pisses me off just thinking about it. If you slit my throat right now you'd get shot in the eye with boiling blood. Any time you say something sucks around someone who disagrees, they try to validate their taste in shitty music/movies/clothing by reminding you that you still only speak for yourself, as if their opinions are in jeopardy of being monopolized by your own. Everyone already knows it's my opinion by virtue of the fact that I said it, no need to restate the obvious you dopey twat.

I actually offer to help him out with a ticket if needed one (Season tix holder...) shit, i'll still help him get one but i'm not sure if he would want to come to Oakland, especially after the shit talking he has been doing to some of my other peeps.

Was the Broncos until I moved to SD. Getting rid of Cutler does make me hate them less, for now at least. Now I fuckin hate the Chargers with a passion. My Chargers friends have been fans for 5-6 years tops. 95% of fans in SD are bandwagoners. I rock my Raiders gear with pride, and when people scoff at me or some shit, I throw it in their fuckin' face.

And Sonic, chill out, bro.
