I wanted to start a new thread before my defense thread was derailed.

Look, I still like Al, as hard as it is to say that. But his time has came and went. He has lost touch with what is going on in footbal now. He needs to step aside. I know he has a son named Mark. Where the hell is this guy ? How is it that he is not ready to take over for the old man ? The last I heard was that he didn't want to be the owner because he liked the players too much. WTF !!!!!...............are you shitting me. Put down the comic books and take your dick out of you hand. Time to step up and be the man for one of the most storied franchises in sports history. How the fuck could you not be ready for this ? You had the chance to learn from the master. What the fuck Happened ? Take the dress off and take over for Al like you are suppose to. With Al in charge it is almost impossible for this team to be successfull. He just doesn't get it anymore. Obviously, Al has no confidence in his son. The team, and us the fans, are the ones paying the price for Al staying on past his prime.

Ok... I'll just paste in this thread then.

Hmmm... are you implying that Al could be the problem?

I don't care how much Al knows about the game... Al is the biggest part of the problem. He puts no value on coaching, and then gives his coaches no time to produce, or turn things around before he shit cans them. Coaching is some of the problem... but, who hires them? Talent is another problem... but, who drafts them? Hey, if the guy can't play TE... let's make him a MLB!

Al Davis is his, and the team's own worst enemy.

Good post S&B I've been saying the same thing for years now. People are calling Russell a bust but who drafted Russell? Who just used the #7 pick on DHB? Who drafted Huff? Coaches do not call the shots in Oakland Al does. Everything goes through Al but when a player Al drafts turns out to be a stiff we hate on the player like it's his fault that he is not good enough. If you draft good football players they will perform, If you draft stiffs they will be stiffs plain and simple. This is not rocket science it's football, the teams with good coaching and good players produce. The teams with yes men and cronies as coaches and fast players who can't play football end with the NFL record for most consecutive double digit losing seasons. When you really look at it as Raider fans what the fuck do we really have to look forward to? Al controls everything, Al calls all the shots. The only way we are going to win is if Al "gets lucky" with one of his draft picks or coaches. Even when we get lucky we fuck it up. Chucky should still be coaching here he turned this team around and had us winning again. What happened? Al did not want to pay top dollar for a top HC and "traded" him to TB for 2 first round picks (which he turned around and wasted on 2 stiffs) and we all know what Chucky did to our ass in the SB. I do not see any light at the end of the tunnel unless it's another train coming on the same track. Happy motherfucking birthday Al.
