Honestly Buck. It would not suprise me one bit. On paper, he's the whole package.
The rest of the mock is pretty good. But I dont think SF would take a QB over Orakpo.

Yeah but still.......DHB over Crabtree and Maclin? How about Orakpo? And he doesn't even have Crabtree in the top 10, despite him consistently saying he's one of the top 3 players in the entire draft.
DHB is fast but he's unpolished, doesn't have great hands, and I've read he might have some work ethic/maturity issues. Seems like HUGE reach 7th overall.

Naw, I'm with you. Except the hands part, where did you see that his hands are no good? The little I've seen of Mayland games, his hands arent the prob, its his yac abilities.
I honestly wouldn't be mad at any of those three WR's though, although DHB seems like a stretch, he would put a legit field stretcher on the roster which we dont have. At least he could run straight lines faster than almost anyone and keep the secondary honest. But as far as an NFL talent, I don't think any of us KNOW which one will float to the top, although I would have to favor Crabs for sure..

I really didn't watch a lot of Maryland games, but I was watching them this year against NC State and I was very unimpressed. I looked up his career stats, and he scored only 13 TDs in 3 years. Looking at his game logs, he basically had 1 good game this year, against Wake Forest. 2 games with zero catches and 5 other games with 3 or less catches. I know the ACC historically isn't as pass-happy as the Big 12, but you gotta be more productive than that if you're getting picked 7th overall.

yeah his stats are super bunk, but you notice him immediately when you watch his team. That offense was simply garbage tho.
Like I said, his physical attributes is what puts him above the other recievers as far as NFL level speed, size. Being what we know about Davis and his obsession with speed and measureables, is why it wouldn't suprise me. I still don;t think or hope DHB is the pick.
I personally would like one of three top tackles in the first round and Robiskie or Britt in the second, or Barden in the third.
IF we go WR in the first, it's Crabs, Maclin, then DHB.

Thats nutzo. If Crab is there, hes the pick. Al cant blow it. He can but HE CANT do that to the team!
Ill take Schilens over DHB. Ill take Skinny Lee over Maclin. Crabtree is probably the best player in the draft, he has to be a Raider if hes on the board. JMO

B4 I say anything, Mike Mayock is an NFL Draft/player expert, not MOCK DRAFT EXPERT.
Now, I'm hoping the Raiders stay away from both Crabtree and Maclin. I like Nicks, Barden and Robiskie just as much if not MORE than Crabtree.
I think they could be planning a trade down too...all the money Al has spent the past few seasons...another top 10 pick to pay? I just don't buy that and think Cable will convince Al to trade down for the first time with Philli, who selects Crabtree in front of the Jags, who then take Maclin.
Honestly, why pay another unproven rookie the big dough?
Am I the ONLY ONE who thinks this is possible considering they have had NO TOP PICK in for visits and said they have a "very good plan".
No doubt in my mind that they trade with Philli there and IF NOT, they go defense with Orakpo or Raji.
Sitting at #7, with two of the best receivers in the draft at your grasp and McNabb yelling for a receiver, I think Philli moves up, gets Crabtree and the Raiders take two picks over paying an unproven rookie.

People are always talking about trading down every year Yay but when Al Davis has a player he is set on taking around that Top 10 range he will do whatever to try and get him.
Hell, Al almost tried to trade up to get Mcfadden.
But we have been eyeing Ramses Barden hard I've read and heard and can probably try and get him in the second round even though that will be considered a reach so we shall see.
I just don't want Maclin and I'm just saying Crabtree or Bust cause thats the player I want and I feel he will bring something different to our team when it comes to running after the catch and can probably develop into that #1 WR we haven't had in years.
Not saying other WRs can't develop into that # 1 WR but I'm just saying it cause I want Crabs. lol
And please remember that this is a huge poker game Yay. No one knows what our plans are.

I know and last year I admit I said time after time they'll trade down cause I WANTED THEM TOO looking like a fool...but seriously, not just because I think they should-
I really believe they are in the perfect situation to trade down.

Dude pretty every team in the top 10 would love to trade down. Unless you're totally 100% sold on a certain player do you think ANY of these teams want to shell out the ridiculous contracts for top 10 picks? It's not just Al.
Also trading down is always easier said than done. Philly seems like a good partner but they've traded out of the 1st round the past 2 drafts, so that tells you something about their strategy.
So no, you're not THE ONLY ONE that thinks trading down is a good idea, because pretty much every team in the top 10 would love to stockpile extra picks and save some cash on rookie contracts. But it just doesn't happen too often.

Raiders just are in perfect position because both WR's should be available at 7. Jags are taking one at 8. Whoever wants one of them WILL...DEFINITELY trade up IF the Raiders are not taking one of them.

Personally I think we have a better shot at trading down if someone wants one of the QBs, i.e. whoever falls Stafford or Sanchez. Jags are rumoured to be very unhappy with Garrard's play last year and are interested in a QB. The Jets and Bucs also need one, also don't rule out the Donkeys looking to move up and take Sanchez (although I still think Al would never make a deal with Denver).

Believe me, If I was running things and Crabtree was selected before our 7th pick I'll try and trade down but the thing is who will want to trade up to the 7th pick ? Probably a team that wants Sanchez if he is still there in case they feel the Jags might pick him in which I doubt it.

which makes it even more probable that #7 will not be the Raiders pick. I'm not declaring they will but really think the writing is on the wall. They haven't even met with Crab or Mac. They have met with WR's Braden and Williams, however. Which tells me they are not interested in taking a receiver at 7.

There will be more meetings, guaranteed. Still 3 weeks away and you can be sure that Orakpo, Maclin, Raji, Andre Smith, Crabtree etc will all roll through the facility.

You have to admit even that the draft is 3 weeks away...they are one of the few, if not ONLY team that hasn't brought in a probable top 10 pick especially since they're picking at 7.
I just dont think picking some1 at 7 is their plan. I think they have a backup plan in case of no trade like picking Orakpo or Cushing...

Well if that is the case then they must have a hush-hush deal in place with another team to trade down. And since that NEVER happens, I'm positive that some of the top prospects will be in for a visit.
You simply cannot just assume that you're gonna be able to trade down so you don't need to evaluate the top prospects. What if you can't find a trade partner? You'll be sitting there like an idiot and being forced to guess on a pick. Which could very well work out better than whatever our strategy has been lately.

well, of course. But if the Raiders have their mind set up on a player whwther or not they trade down maybe it doesn't matter. They're keeping things hush hush

Just saw this on nfl.com. One of the worst mock drafts I've ever seen. I am surprised because mayock is usually decent, this is just downright terrible though. DHB at 7 will not happen, al davis is not that retarded. DHB is actually one of my favorite receivers in the draft, but not at number 7. Also, if we pass on crabtree, there is no way the jaguars will also pass on him. The video on nfl.com has mayock saying that crabtree drops out of the top 10 due to "off the field issues". Thats a bunch of shit and i've never heard anything about him having any such problems. Even some of his other picks make no sense whatsoever. Michael oher at 9?!? Why would the chiefs take Eugene Monroe at 3, when they just selected albert last year who was doing well at LT?? Crabtree will not fall out of the top 10, guaranteed. Overall terrible mock draft, one of the worst ever.

I don't agree with DHB at #7... He's talking out of his ass.
There are so many different mock drafts this year, especially our pick. Last year everyone pretty much agreed that McFadden was the pick. This year it's different. Someone needs to hide the damn remote control for the t.v. Al needs to stop listening to these jackasses

there are a few receivers I would not draft under any circumstances:
-J. Maclin
-D.H. Bey
-P. Harvin
