Nah you heard right though. Believe me I've had Budweiser in the States and Budweiser here and it's really not even the same. I think it's because booze is less accessible here (it's only sold in the Beer Store or the Liquor Store) so they make all the alcohol that much more potent. :rofl

there is a HUGE difference between beer and whiskey/booze. I am talking about hard liquor. Let's see a 19 year old try and drink half a bottle of scotch and see how much damage that will do.

And it is a big deal when somebody who is under age drinks, especially in terms of what he can do to the body years later. Liquor is more dangerous than drugs.

Do I want my son out there drinking at a young age? hell no but will it happen..most likely.
Do I want him to get hurt or be a mother of a teenager killed by alcohol..of course not.
I talk to my kid....I try to keep a open relationship. I hope if he ever needs me he will call me..even if it is picking him up from somewhere shit faced.


Knock on wood my kid is pretty good and I haven't had problems of those sorts w/him. All I can do is talk to him and pray for the best.

It especially hit home when I had to take the MADD class and one of the ladies that spoke was talking about when she had to go to her MADD class. She said that night she heard this father talk about how his son got killed by a drunk driver while he was walking home...as she told the story my eyes swelled up with tears.....she was talking about a good friend of mine back in High School. The memories came back of that day ( I saw him lying on the floor under a yellow tarp as I drove by after it happened) It made me rethink some of the things I was doing. I hardly ever got behind the wheel after drinking but I was guilty of it and especially the night I got my DUI.
So we just all have to be responsible :)

The whole DUI thing has gotten a little out of hand IMO. 20-25 years ago a person got a citation, nowadays it's a whole new ball game. Do I condone driving while inhebriated no, but if one wants to go out for a night and have a few drinks responsibly than they should be allowed to. This DUI stuff has gotten to be a big money maker for the counties and courthouses. I will give you a example, I was with a buddy of mine after a night out we got stopped at the tollbooth for no seatbelts, damn state trooper was hiding on foot around the corner. So my buddy was a little buzzed but he took the field sobriety test TWICE and passed both times. The trooper wanted him to submit to a breathalyzer my buddy told him no, we can play this game all night if you want. See if my buddy would have taken that test than he would have blown over the limit, but he knew his tolerance that's the difference with these legal limits they don't justify everybody. They look at it from a case everyone is the same as far as tolerance goes, well I'm calling bullshit on that one.

I totally hear what you are saying...I agree. I've known people who have gotten a DUI the same way. They have passed the field test 2x and the cop gives it to them a 3rd and they fail. Well damn I bet I could fail that after a couple times sober! hahha
