Yes i think we have been in need of a wr for a good minute now... Call me supersticious but... 7th round pick.... 21 yrs (21 is a multiple of 7).... On the 25th (2+5=7).... 777.. Hope it's a good sign

It may be time, but I would think that it depends on who is still on the board at #7.

I think we should roll with the young WR's we already have on the roster. If we fix the OL and give Russell some time to throw we can find out what we have at WR. We need to upgrade our defense If we are going to win more games this season.

I tend to agree with you, but I think Al will take a WR. I just don't want Maclin... we already have him in Higgins.

I'm pretty sure Al is going to draft a WR, and hopefully it's Crabtree. Al's boy Russell is entering his third year and in order for him to succeed he needs playmakers around him. It's a critical year for Russell, because nowadays not even the quarterback gets special treatment anymore.. If you don't produce, then your getting benched. Hopefully Crabtree falls right into our lap. The Jay Cutler trade will make a significant impact on the draft board and nothing is clear until traft day. It's the damn Rams that worry me, I think they are going to grab Crabtree.

I think we should get Crabtree with the 7th pick, The O Line could be improved with the rest of the rounds in the Draft..

Don't think any Great defensive player will be left when we're on the board.

If they do take a WR it better be Crabtree and not Maclin. I like Michael's upside more.

That's total speculation Shadee, I wouldn't believe anything unless it came out of Adam Schefter's mouth.

Thats a dream i would love but don't think it will happen. i think it is more likely we trade with Philly first. Hell i would even say trade with Denver. It would give us more picks at cheaper prices and we could go for a quality WR and DT at these spots. Hell for some reason i think Denver wants a shot at a QB and they will more than likely look to trade up for it. If im right then we could benefit from this greatly.

Philly maybe.

Denver, not a chance.

Al would never do bidness with Denver. If Stafford gets picked though, and they want to take a shot at Sanchez, I'd be all for the trade though. I'd love to see us pick him off multiple times per season :) I don't think he's that good

I wouldnt mind trading back only if we could get a WR or draft NIcks cause i think Nicks is gonna give crabtree a run fo rhis money this year, im not sold on the other WR!!!

Hey you never know it has been a slightly odd offseason. We may trade with Denver so that we can deprive them of two good picks and let them get a young qb in a draft class who doesn't have great QB's to begin with. Trading with Denver can hurt them and give us a one up on them if the picks pan out correctly. Besides i say let them get the expensive pick who has a higher chance of falling on his face. Also it seems the Denver gm and front office doesnt seem to have much experience drafting people.

I dunno, IF somehow we pulled a dream draft of Raji and Nicks i think somehow we could fill alot of needs right off the bat!!!

Hell, there is not one side of the ball better off than the other. Our offense can't stay on the feild, our defense can't get off the feild. Both need to be addressed. I'd be fine with something like
Crabtree/Brace
or
Raji/Ramses-Britt-anyother decent WR that falls to the second

Another option, trade with philly, take DHB or Nicks and best LB/DL available.

That has been the case for several years now, yet the holes remain....:chair:

Raji and Nicks would be a godly first two picks. But they're both going in the 1st, with Raji going top 15.

Yeah, I'd say better draft scouts are a priority as well, maybe number one priority... we've had decent later round picks in recent years, but first round picks like Huff and Washington were bad ones. And number one picks are pretty important considering they will be first year starters. Having the first pick was pretty much a waste, while the league is getting better, we're still at the bottom of the list.

I would be so damn juiced if we could pull either of those two off. But thats why i said Dream Draft tho. But that would be Fkin awsome!!!!

I love both those scenarios. Well, Raji and Robiskie. Nicks does NOT impress me. What we need in terms of a WR is a downfield threat. I mean, I'll take a guy who can do it all but at the least a guy who can stretch the defense and force double teams. A WR who can make a play on the ball. Not just a guy who can run past the defense and hope the ball falls into his hands. :cough: Jerry Porter...Separation is not the biggest problem with our WR's imo. It's having a guy who can go vertical and outplay the defender for the ball. Let's be real. JaMarcus has not shown peyton manning like accuracy. He isn't going to drop the ball over the Wideouts outside shoulder on that 9 route. He needs someone who can make plays for him.

I thought we needed a wr before but now I'm not sure. I like Schilens..he seems to have the capability to catch those hard to catch balls. I'm not going to speak on Walker though.......as I'm still not sure how in the hell he got "hurt" last season.

The Raiders have ONE playmaker; mcFadden; no one can win that way.

When the Colts and Patriots had the best offenses in the NFL; the Pats the best in history; out of the starting 10 OL, ONE; ONLY ONE was a first rounder, and 4 were actually undrafted free agents.

WR all the way; speed kills;
