Just figured this would be a nice thread... Everybody post who you THINK (not want) will be the 7th pick. Assume we do not trade down. Then we can come back to this on draft day to see how things played out.

Me, I got Crabtree.

If they stay at 7, and Crabtree is there.....uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

then Crabtree. Only because what BH said though, whether its true or not.

Since I don't think Crab will be there I'll go with Raji...

Does anybody have any idea where WR Inglesias is projected to go, he is just a slot type receiver but he works hard and is getting consistently better every year he would be like Gonzalez with the Colts.....I watched him play he is really good, I expect good things from him in his transition to the NFL.....watch.

I want to say J. Smith or Monroe, if neither are there it's Crabtree, and if he's not there, i'm guessing Raji.

Iglesias is touted around the 8 - 12th best reciever and is a mid second rnd pick...They have him slated as a WC fit in the slot with possible return value.

I thought he looked good in college, but not the skill set we are looking for IMO. We need a true #1 type. If we end up going WR in round two, I'd take Robiskie or even Barden over Iglesias.

They'll be long gone brotha, and IMO Monroe is the type of tackle we need.. Assuming that they're gone, I'm sticking with Crabtree as well.

You hit that right on the head bro, in regards to the wide reciever position, we need a true number one reciever.. We can't afford to groom that particular position at this moment of time. We need a number one reciever to balance out the offense. Our wideouts have been pretty much shut down during the entire season.. We also need a wide reciever that is going to lead in receptions as well..

Exactly. HAving a number one reciever will open up things for JLH in the slot, Miller in the flats and slants, and Schilens downfield. Not to mention open up the passing game for our RBs...

Seriously, if we dont get a legit WR, Miller will dissapear in the passing game, and JLH will end up in the ambulance.

I didn't really get to see Robiskie and Barden in action so I have no idea how good they are.

Jeremy Maclin, just a guess but don't hold this against me. I want the Raiders to pick Hakeem Nicks which is not going to happen by the way, with the release of Curry we need another Tar Heel on the roster :D.

Al is a renegade, rebel, maverick & rarely drafts according to conventional wisdom.

All that being said:

Maualuga @ #7

And head into the season with an injury prone and sluggish Javon Walker as our number 1? Or bank on Arman Sheilds or Schilens to be capable? Higgins aint number 1 material, but he can be pretty useful

Miller has actually probably been our best deep threat. He grabs everything thrown at him.

I'm still undeciced. I do NOT think we take Raji though. I think we are going after WR and OT. I'm going with Crabtree, then Maclin.

You know what, I'll make a bold prediction here
If Crabtree isn't there and we don't have a trade partner,
DHB at 7.

Maclin is gonna bust. He's a fuggin pussy. Playus not to get hit...I hate that. The Raiders will not take him. Id take DHB b4 Maclin. Siut I'd take Nicks or Robiskie or Byrd b4 Maclin.

I am saying Maclin or one of the remaining LT's. Maclin is going to be better than most people think.

I just don't want Orakpo he seems like this years Gholston.

How does he compare to Gholston? Orakpo was much more consistent and productive than Gholston ever was.

Not comparing him in play but the fact that he will go higher, if he goes top 10, than more productive players at his position. It is just my opinion.

I'm still in schock... Instead of taking Michael Johnson or Everette Brown, we go with the safety that only became known a few weeks ago?
Pass on Monroe, Crabtree, Raji, and Maclin for DHB?

only in Oakland...

Never mind it's not wth am I talking about. Considering we coulda had Monroe, Crabtree, Raji, Maclin, Everette Brown, Ron Brace, we passed on all of them...

I dont even want to know what kind of guys we are thinking about with the third rounder.

Im happy we stayed clear of M. Johnson. He is this years gholston, not orakpo. In fact,, GHolston is more productive than he is.
