Posted by Aaron Wilson on April 10, 2009, 3:29 p.m. EDT
Cal linebacker Zach Follett is set to conduct a private workout with the Oakland Raiders, according to Scout.com.
An All-Pac-10 Conference selection, Follett recorded 23 tackles for losses and 10 1/2 sacks last season.
The 6′2,” 236-pounder met with Buffalo Bills team officials at the NFL Scouting Combine.
At the combine, Follett ran the 40-yard dash in 4.69 seconds and turned in a 37-inch vertical leap. He bench pressed 225 pounds 21 times at his Pro Day workout.
A projected fourth-round draft pick, Follett finished his career with 51 tackles for losses and 13 forced fumbles.
I liked watching this kid at Cal, but he was used a lot as an outside run and pass blitzer.. Basically have no idea if this guy could hold his own without being a gimmick in the NFL.
