Kansas City looks like a good Game to Travel to week #2.. Still warm early in the year, Great BBQ, and always a great game.
N.Y. Is also Early season.. Mid Oct. Great scenery Many N.Y. Style Sports bars, and places to hang.. this should be another Great Away game?
Pittsburgh.. Getting that time of year, where weather is un-predictable, but A face up against the Super-Bowl Champions.. Last time we played Pittsburgh, they came off a SB win as well, and we beat them.. you can count on Great tailgating for this one.
Going to Houston may be a cool trip.. Ocean, some of houston/southern Texas food?
Spending Thanksgiving in Dallas?
what are your Traveling Raider games plans, or for some, your Local area away games?
Mine Will Deff. be K.C. and shooting for either N.Y. or Oak @ Den.

I wish I could go on a road trip but damn I been doing so much lately and getting season tix was enough for me this year. I look forward to a road trip the following year maybe though.
Sounds like fun Jimi! Rep that Silver and Black for us over there!

I would like to hit Oakland for week #!, but i can't swing it this year.. looks like NY is going to be expensive, so I may hit Denver dec 20th, and stay for Christmas with my sister?

^ Hey man just because we had terrible picks on the draft doesn't mean we wont have a positive season this year.. we had some productive players last year, Hopefully 2nd day of the draft goes alot better.
^ Hey man just because we had terrible picks on the draft doesn't mean we wont have a positive season this year.. we had some productive players last year, Hopefully 2nd day of the draft goes alot better.
The thing is the draft proved to me that Al is in full control of this team. Yoiu can clearly see the draft difference from when Lane was here.
You can see the difference from Lane's/Knapp's playcalling to Cable's playcalling. I think Kiffin was often too conservative but I think he would have opened it up when JaMarcus started to get comfortable. Cable seemed to use a lot more deep routes but dumbed down the playbook. I saw Russell throwing the same passes over and over.
I think Cable is just another yes man and there will be calls coming in from the sideline telling him to go deep here etc.
I can only hope al doesnt have a say on the defense. I think if al is calling the shots he will hold us back.
I think our entire offense mostly depends on the development of JaMarcus. Really, if he doesn't start playing better we will see more of the same. 3 and outs, conservative throws, pathetic red zone execution. We were what? the 3rd lowest team in scoring last year? I am shocked we werent last. Combined with penalties our offense was just brutal to watch.
Its up to Marshall to put our defense in a position to succeed. I think they have the talent at certain positions to mask the weaknesses of others.
People have been harping about the run defense. We could DEFINITELY use a big tackle in there but if you honestly watch a handful of the games from last year, our guys showed they are capable of playing very good defense.
Crowd the line, jam the receivers, and send some heat. The Raiders defense played 3-4 games last year where they shocked me. Kc, Buf, Sd, and even the 2nd denver game. Our offense hardly impressed me at all. JaMarcus had 2, maybe 3 games where he really got hot and the defense had no answer. the 2nd denver game and Miami. We lost the miami game because of rob ryan's prevent us from winning defense.
Cover 2, cover 3, and cover 4 zone do NOT work for us. Our players do not read the qb well in zone, do not get a pass rush most games without sending 5 or more, and cannot stop the run when our linebackers are sitting back from the line waiting to drop back in zone. Gerard Warren is NOT good in coverage! WTF is Ryan thinking??? Tell me he is not a moron!
Our DL's pass rush and our open field tackling are poor. But you disguise that by blitzing and pressing. I think rb's hurt us more when they get a head of steam. Our players are better at attacking then reading and reacting.
If al doesnt f*** up the defense we could be good on that side of the ball this year but im losing hope with al's decision making

I've had to work the last couple of years, but I will definitely be at the KC game this year. I'd really like to meet up and tailgate with some raider fans. Jimmy, Ran, maybe Wookie Raider if you guys ever talk to him. I haven't seen him around in forever.

Won't be able to do week 2 in K.C. with going to the home opener it's too much. Hopefully, when the schedule comes out next year they won't schedule us in K.C. after a monday night home opener just like they did last season.
