At what point does the straw break the camel's back for everybody here? I mean with EVERY SINGLE passing day of the Al Davis retard circus......when is enough, enough for you guys? Just wondering how much more STUPID FUCKING SHIT can you people take from the puppet master? Today's events and the MORONIC justification for Russell's BLANTANT skipping of the team meeting is just ANOTHER example of this franchise's inability to hold ANYBODY accountable for ANYTHING. Not to mention the whole childish "Anti-Rich Gannon bullshit". I mean seriously, just when you think this organization couldn't get any fucking lower.............here we are!!
It's obvious by the lack of asses in the seats at the stadium that the majority of fans have already written off this franchise. I'd like to know just how much more are you guys willing to take it in the ass until you FINALLY come to the breaking point and stop being a fan until the puppet master is gone? Be totally honest here either way........

I think when I see JaMarcus front and center next season that will do it for me. I think I'm pretty much there already I just won't buy any Raider merchandise or attend games but I will still watch the train wreck every Sunday.....I dunno why I torture myself that way.
I'll always follow this team, no matter how sorry they are. But if JaMarcus is playing next year I'll probably be turning every game off at halftime.

I don't know man, but it may be getting close.. I've been a fan since 1982 and I could NEVER root for another team, but fuck, this is just a never-ending clusterfuck from hell, EVERY FUCKING DAY.. I think what Maiden said may do it for me.. Al sticking with DuhMarcus, and continuing to not hold him accountable or anything.. That just might do it..
But hell, I say that now, but I know I'll still be planted in front of the tube watching on opening day next year..
I fucking hate myself..:suicide:

I do know that almost everyone of my buddies that live local in the Bay, including one bro that drives from fucking Visalia for EVERY home game since '95, are D-O-N-E with season tickets next year- UNLESS some serious shit happens, which we all know WON'T happen.. They might go to one or two games, maybe, but forking over thousands of $$ for season tix? Not gonna happen..

"He's repeatedly said that they should just blow up the building and start all over again," Herrera said in September. "He hasn't done that once or twice, but has done that repeatedly. He continually attacks the owner, he continually attacks the organization in every way that he can. After listening to all of that for the last several years, why would you want him in your building when all he does is attack the organization that made his career?" http://www.sacbee.com/static/weblogs/raiders/
Al is fucking crazy. He was telling McCown not to ruin what Gannon stood for when he got the #12 in 07. The only bad remarks I can think of was during the Bucs game last year.

I already renew my tixs, plan on renewing tixs for the next several years. What the organization does is their business. I knew what the rules were when I decided to put on the colors.

If you dig around the net you will probably find other examples. But it is a moot point anyways. Gannon wasn't like that much when he was playing for the Raiders. Besides, we should be trying to bring in actual football people, not mouth pieces that are better suited for announcing.
But Herrera is partially correct.. Gannon did state that Hackett was the best in the business. But really, Gannon has already had a talk with JR prior to the '09 season.

I can't root for any other team but it is getting beyond crazy I wish the joke was on another team not the Raiders.

Did you really though??
Because I was about 7 when I became a Raider fan.... as I got older I started to understand the business side of the game more... So, it's kind of like being born into a family..
That being said, even children rebel against shitty parents sometimes..

We came up with a good plan for next year while throwin back a few in the south side. So here it goes.
Everyone should hsow up to Tailgate, but dont buy any tickets for the game. If Jatragedy is starting. Everyone should have banners and signs saying exactly what they think of him starting. We all have a good time and then leave afetr we get killed when Jabortion throws 5 int and fumbles 3 times and so on. I am sure there would be plenty of news coverage then. Fuck I go to the games just to throw back some beers with friends and hang out with the Nation as much as I do to watch the game. Tell me what you think.

Yeah I'll follow the team too but there will be a point where i won't be as active in supporting them. But it's hard not to follow this team, with all the drama it's brings and compared to other team, it's kinda comical

I'm a Raider fan 4 life and that's it. Al has always been an ass hole but back in the day we were winning so no one really gave a fuck about Al. What Al did in the past is cool but it is the past, right now Al is fucking shit up and we will just have to deal with his antique decrepit senile old ass. I'll always support these stiffs but I DVR the games now and watch them later..........If they win. Am I looking forward to next season? Hell no but once training camp opens I'll start checking shit out.

For me, enough has been enough for quite some time now. I've been a fan of this team since the 67/68 season. Like Bump said; I was a kid when I decided to be a Raiders fan, so, there were no rules when I "put on the colors". The Raiders were a badass team that kicked everyone's ass... extremely appealing to an 8 year old boy. As you get older, you learn more... sometimes you don't like what you learn.
There is no other team I could or would be a fan of. I hate what is happening to the Raiders. I hate what Al Davis has done over the last 20 years or so. I hate what Al Davis is doing now. I hate what the media and fans of other teams say about the Raiders. I hate that the Raiders are the biggest joke in all of sports... period.
As bad as it is right now... and it may get even worse, it will change. I don't know how much longer it will be before this change happens... possibly next year, maybe another 5 years... time will tell.
In the end... I'm a Raiders fan... and with that comes a certain "fuck you" attitude that no other sports franchise in the world has... and I like that!

You Pretty Much Said What I Feel!!!! I've Been Going to Games Since My Birth in 1962 because My Dad was a Season Ticket Holder & I have Now had Season Tickets for 30 Years!!!! The Crazy Thing is Even as Bad as this Season was I Saw some Potental in the Raiders when Russell wasn't Playing & Think the Raiders could Finally be on the Right Track of Turning Things Around!!!!! This Switching Coaches Though has to Stop!!!!!! This team Supports the CABLE GUY & I Think They Respect Him for Taking on Al over the Russell Situation!!!! Al Needs to Send Russell Packing!!!!! We Do Need a Better Right Side of the O-LINE & Line-Backers that Can Stuff the Run & Then We Really could Turn Things Around!!!!

I never saw the Raiders win a Super-Bowl; I never saw Raider greats' such as Stabler or Tatum play live, but I was around to see the Silver and Black get robbed on national TV by the NFL in the infamous Tuck-game and whenever I get down, I remember how angry I was (and still am) after that call.
The NFL stole that victory from the Raiders so as to get the Patriots in the Super-Bowl after September 11th - as if doing that would somehow be American or make things better. However, the NFL seemed to have forgotten that competition and capitalism are among the things that have made America great, not the mere colors of a flag or a mere name of a team.
Thus, when I get down on my team, I remember that day and cheer for the Silver and Black if only to extend my proverbial middle finger at the NFL for that theft.

Me being a raider fan is a distinct emotion...I'll never stop feeling it....
Having said that...I'm like Poke about it...I vowed this year moving forward...Al gets no more of my money....so I do not support the team at this point...my DHB 1st round jersey was my last raider purchase....if I fly up there for a game, I'll tailgate then go watch the game at ricky's....hell, I may not even get sunday ticket next year...I found a raider bar at a pizza joint in moreno valley...they got great food so I'll watch the game there....
but what BROKE my back..was the press conference and the overhead projector....

Guys I have spent 35 years of my life supporting this team..It was the first football I ever watched as a 7 year old kid..watching all those NFL films with John Fascenda narrating them hearing that Autumn Wind song in the background..Watching Old Man Willie house that INT for a TD in SuperBowl XI.. Thats all it took for me to become a full fledged PROUD RAIDER NATION MEMBER! My Mother noticed my stoked enthusiasm for Raider Football and she worked overtime so she could buy me an Oakland Raider Varsity Jacket with a big Shield on the Back and on the front breast pocket..I have never been to California..Oakland..I have lived my entire life in North West Ohio..surrounded by Browns..Lions..Steelers..Bengal fans..I didn't want them, I identified with the Raiders and found their fans to be the coolest and the most passionate..so thats how I lived my sports life..I played varsity football as a freshman and chose 87 as my number because I wanted to be just like Dave Caspar ( LOL) when the coach realized that I had brick hands I was quickly moved to defensive line where I wore 75 for obvious reasons..I wasn't the quickest..or the best at what I did, but I always showed pride and heart when ever I took the field. Everyone here in Ohio knows me as that Raider guy. I have always represented to the best of my abilities..I know this little story is a bit sappy and shit but Football has been a very huge focal point of my life..35 years and running..Its all I know..Its who Iam..so when Iam asked if I will continue following this team I will.
Gen Raider said it best " I knew what I was getting into when I put these colors on" It just pains me that Al has let this franchise crumble the way that it has..I will continue to support and I will definately be pissed off and Vocal when AL is interferring and fucking everything up..especially in these past 7 seasons. We deserve a winner..respecatability..but we also have to have accountability. Al is going to have to address this because he is losing the very fans who made him. The Raiders are great because of the NATION and he has clearly forgotten that..It is time for him to be reminded. I want to express my respect to the other fans here that I have met..its because of you all that I hold onto the hope that the Raiders will be great once again, and its future will be set in stone. Sadly Al is wrecking the very thing he helped to build and I do pray that he wakes up and see the big picture..unfortunatley the only thing I can expect to hear from the old man is his famous quote " GET OVAH IT!" I may be down on the Raiders but I will never be down on any of you ! You all represent in your own unique style and swagger which is fucking cool in my book ! So I give a shout out to all of you..I will continue to represent in the best ways possible! Stay cool all of ya! (2 pounds on my chest..peace sign out to all of yaz!) Jeff A.K.A as RAIDERGATOR

I don't know what really will be the one thing that will be the "straw that breaks the camel's back" for me and hopefully it won't happen. I will be a Raider fan even after I die, I'll be in Heaven cheering the Raiders on and looking down on them. But as for Al Davis and what he is doing to our team, I have no more respect or sympathy for him.
I'll continue to pay attention. Probably at a farther distance each season till I see a team that consistently gives a shit.
Then again, I'll probably still get shitcanned and go to most games next year and yell and pound seats till im blue.
Such is life.
As for the offseason in general, my GM armchair will be all cobwebbed and dusty, still soiled with the nut stain and blunt ash from pounding out my secretary one last time before evaluations when I return to it next August or so...Tired of the 24-hour media, overreactionary crap...
I'll try it old school this year, pop in every now and again, throw out a few pennies and go back to life as usual. :tornado
As for Al, well what can I say. As a pissed off Senior in highschool, I was a passenger in a car that was driving by as he entered his silver Caddy STS outside his house in the Oakland Hills. I hung out of the side of the car and yelled "GET OUT OF THE GAME!! AL!!!!" He turned and was yelling and shaking his fist.
Obvoiusly I was oblivious to the fact he was about to hire Gruden who would steer this team to multiple AFC championships, etc...but lets just say the old man didnt take kindly to my advice...
So 12 years later, he still didnt think getting out of the game was a good idea. Nor did the suggestion of a billboard, his former MVP QB, etc...
So, Im along for the ride, fuck it. I will say one thing. Madden oughta be getting awful squirmy up in his skyboxx watching this bullshit transpire...

But as for Al Davis and what he is doing to our team, I have no more respect or sympathy for him.
Al has definitly black-balled this franchise.. he steered the ship and crashed it on the rocks..I think Alameda Stadium being less than half filled every game day has spoken volumes to Al, and he still just doesn't fucking get it..I believe that the disgruntled Raider fans clearly out number the complacent ones willing to accept whats Al's visions of Raider Greatness are.
I respect what Al has done for the league and for past Raider Glories.. but I..LIKE YOU..have no sympathy for him..I still respect him in parts, because I do know that losing is wearing on him HARD like all of us, and I do believe deep down that he wants a winner.. HE JUST HAS NO IDEA HOW TO DO IT! I cannot respect him for being stubborn, unwilling to adapt or change.
Ever since Free Agency and big time money became the norm in the NFL, Al's management style has gotten worse and worse..Each Offseason and Draft has become more dysmal.
I honestly believe Al just does not understand the modern game. Al is sadly going to destroy this franchise..all the signs point to it. The thing that totally bums me out is whether I have to wonder, or contend with the fact that I may have just wasted over 35 years of my life loving this team and not getting any love back..I get it from our Raider Nation Brothers and Sisters, but Al is clearly detatched from all of us. His behaivors and denials over the past decade or so proves it. I believe Raider Greatness will be back but it won't be because that Al brought it. I will always be a Raider fan & a proud Raider Nation member BUT Iam Not a Fan of AL. True Raider greatness is represented by its fans. Al has forgotten this. That disrespect to the NATION is the straw on the camels back in my opinion, and as the losses and losing seasons mount Al is going to suffer the repercussions of it. Hard to have any sympathy for the old man at all...

Raider Nation's back should have been broken by now.Loyalty, long time or for just two years.Doesn't matter. It doesn't take a surgeon to see how dissected this organization has been, and that the floundering is a result of NOT being what we truly are, and aspiring to that. We haven't gone out and got the player's that represent what we'd all like to see, but we all see it ain't "roses & perfume" in Oakland.
The value of your committment to the Oakland Raiders is what will measure when you've had enough. The question is. Have the Raiders forsaken your type of fan & fanship & committment to the team? Ask yourself that.Hope is a risky investment.
