But then again no one was complaining when he was hitting the ball 500 ft. It was a spectacle.

Big Mac should have fessed up to the Grand Jury in 2005, but better late than never...

I don't blame him for what he did or how he handled the situation. A lot of guys did steroids, and a lot of guys handled the situation like that. Let's face it, not many of the players that fessed up were under the same kind of duress. In fact, I can't think of a single guy with a real legacy to protect who admitted anything at first.

McGwire is a whiny-bitch.He cheated the game, and gets to work in MLB, but Pete Rose is still "frozen out".He lied about Not doing roids with my boy Canseco, cause it was common knowledge out here when they were the "Bash Brothers" & they were close.LaRussa's full of shit too.He was a"control freak" in Oakland. He knew everything that was going on.His excuse was "weak" as fuck.He took roids for health reasons.Come on.That's like a crackhead saying he smoked "crack" cause he likes testing out pipes.

I'm still claiming our 1989 championship.Put an asterik next to it.I don't care.We swept the Giants, and that shit counts.

Bud Selig knew about steroids.. Its blatantly obvious that he did..he embraced that home run chase back in 98 because it generated mean green and put asses in the seats. Major League Baseball should get off its high horse.

From the looks of his massive arms, everybody knew he was on steroids and that they were all waiting on him to admit. Major League Baseball didn't want to deal with the steroid use then because the single-season HR chase of 1998 increased interest for fans in baseball and needed more people because the strike for 1994 (which also cancelled the World Series that year) was a huge blow to the sport in terms of how many have been following baseball at that time.

Null & void all "records" set by players doing steroids, including the single-season HR mark which was legitimately set by Roger Maris and the all-time mark set by Hank Aaron who did it with anything BUT steroids and other performance-enhancing bullshit if Major League Baseball wants to get it right.

Get the fuck out of here... are you serious???

That is the dumbest, most assinine fucking thing I have ever heard...

Let's wipe out ND's career record (which would actually be a good thing, because they suck)...

Let's take away Lester Hayes 13 INT season

Let's take away every significant record in the NFL..

Let's just null sports altogether...

Stupidest fucking thing I have ever heard....

Yeah Sonic, none of that made sense. Plenty of guys did juice and still sucked. The playing field was level. People took them to stay healthy because the seasons became longer and road trips got more and more grueling. Some guys just wanted to play to their potential, and I get that. Imagine being Mark McGwire, blessed with that kind of sweet swing and great eye. You are a stud in college and a beast in the Olympics, and you get to the pros and your body falls apart. You can't speak on these dudes until you really understand what they're going through. I'd be depressed as hell if I spent my whole life trying to make it, had the talent and got injured too often to use it. I don't care what you say, Mark McGwire's eye was outstanding! He wasn't just a bomber like Sosa, the dude was completely underrated as a line drives hitter, and he had a career OBP of almost .400. Did Marvin Benard do that shit? Tim Laker? FP Santangelo? Cuz all those dudes did roids too.

Also, keep in mind these great players you speak of in yesteryear might not do so well against today's pitching, while today's hitters could face their pitching and crush it. Don't forget that players took uppers from the 20's to the 70's that were no more legal than steroids, and would have done today's drugs had they existed. Baseball has been about cheating since the beginning of time.
