Not only was he a great player on the much heralded "Fearsome Fousome", a Hall of Famer and a gifted actor, Merlin Olsen and Dick Enberg formed, in my opinion, the most underrated and vastly superior TV commentating crew for the NFL in the 80's.

In the age before streamed games online, the NFL Ticket and in the infancy days of satellite TV, Olsen and Enberg were the lifeblood for Raider fans, such as myself, that didn't live in Oakland or California. I have many fond and cherished memories from my childhood of watching Raider games on NBC during the 80's that Olsen and Enberg commentated. Thanks, Merlin. RIP, big guy.
