This should be a great fight. Pac Man is probably the best pound for pound fighter today. Hatton's only blemish came when he fought Floyd Mayweather. Hatton is an inside clench style and if he could get inside and lock up pac man it could frustrate Manny.

I got Manny by decision.

Hatton needs to stay inside of pacman wrap him up and try to frustrate him.

Let's be real.. Hatton was ran through the hype machine, got lumped and is just not as good as he was billed.

He had ONE good fight and that was against Jose Luis Castillo.

He actually lost that decision to Callazo... How that gave that to Hatton, I still have no clue.

Sure, knocking out some washed up mexican fighters is nice and all.. But hardly what I call impressive.

The only fight I gave Pac real props on are the Marquez fight and when he avenged the fight where Marquez knocked him down 3 times in the first round.

And the Morales fight when he avenged the loss when Morales lumped him up good.

Lets just look at this...

Pacquiao started off and fought a good portion of his professional career as a FLYWEIGHT.

Moved thru bantam and feather fairly quickly.. Made some noise at Super Featherweight.

His notable wins at super featherweight were.....

Erik Morales (Who busted him up good in the first fight, already aging)

Marco Antonio Barerra (Cant take anything away from him here, maybe the second fight Barerra gettin long in the tooth)

Juan Manuel Marquez (who whooped Pacs ass half the first fight... could have, and IMO SHOULD have won the draw - beat him in a decision 2nd time around.. THAT one could have went both ways)

Now, those are his only notable, RESPECTABLE wins IMO.

Now he gets NO props for beating DLH @ Welter, who was old, out of shape and had no passion for the sport anymore..

THEN, he beats Ricky Hatton... one of the most overrated fighters of the decade @ Welter.. And all of the sudden... Some people are saying Pac can beat...

Then, you got guys like Paul Williams who is going to see some of that big money, and he CAN fight at 147.. Would absolutely DESTROY Pac with reach and speed Pac has never seen before.

I'm just saying..... stop the madness...

Pac is a very undisciplined fighter.. He could get away with that against some of the more technical guys @ light feather but that shit wont fly at Welter. No way pal.

Pac got a lot of work cut out for him. Moving up in weight too fast is dangerous.... Look what happened to Tito? Nuff Said.

Pac stays at 140 he'll be fine....Arum/Golden Boy will be calling the shots financially, and PBF is no longer the "money" guy P4P. Floyd will never accept a fight at 140 unless hes guaranteed 50/50 which Arum will never accept. PBF's camp will all be about trying to get Pac to move up to 147.

Pacquiao dominated Floyd's last two opponents, and beat them badly. Floyd had some trouble in his fight with with DLH using his typical shoulder roll(unless he was just toying with him), and it took him 10 rounds to finish off Hatton. If he goes into a fight with that style against someone like Mosley(who still has speed), Williams, or even Pac eventually hes gonna get caught.

But then again Mayweather's natural power is at 147 as JMM is moving up 2 weight classes from 134 to 144 to fight him, which could be very ugly.

As for Judah, Tszyu, Mayweather, Cotto owned him, and he even had losses to Baldomir and Clottey. On top of that he's won 1 decent fight over the last 6 years and that was the rematch with Spinks.

Margarito is gonna be out of he picture for a while, and who knows who will wanna take him on as a promoter.

That leaves the main money with Pac, Mosley, Williams, Cotto, and PBF(depending on the promoters). Someone like JMM may start fading from the picture with a loss to PBF.

The fight I'd actually like to see this year is Mosley/Williams. Hope it happens, but Mosley is prolly gonna want a crack at Pac also, or a Cotto rematch.

I am glad to see Juan Manuel get a big $$$ fight he has earned the right to big money more than most of the people that get them.

Pac man vs. Floyd would be great and I could honestly see it going both ways. I will wait and see how Floyd handles a smaller JMM before I jump to any conclusions.
