I hope people have gotten to see this great documentary about the sports culture of Oakland in the 70's. The more people that watch it will have a better understanding of why we are the way we are. The 72-74 Athletics, the '76 Raiders, and don't forget the '75 Golden State Warriors. And they call Pittsburgh the City of Champions? Bay Area residents rise!

Awesome special. I have it on my DVR. I experienced most of that stuff first hand...One of the guys that does a bunch of the commentary Chuck Santana has seats right next to me at the stadium since 1995.

Rebels Of Oakland, the best profile on the culture & image of Oakland & The Raider Fans. a documentary,"Raidernation" filmed in 2002 had more commentary from the core fan base. The camera loves us.

its awesome; Oakland was the capital of pro sports back then;

Warriors got a championship, Raiders won superbowls, and the A's 3 peated; the 70's was the decade of Oakland for sure.

I wish we all could go back in time; thats when the Raiders were really the RAiders.
