RAIDERS HEAD COACH TOM CABLE ON QUARTERBACK JASON CAMPBELL
"I think he just kind of represented our whole football team and just really not able to turn it loose and play. A little too cautious, for all of us and that's just unfortunate."

As Campbell gets more comfortable, I think he'll be fine. But that's IF he's able to find a groove with these o-line stiffs.
Windbag of teh decades...

FUCK CABLE!!! i can't believe ( well yes i can) that his response out the gate after the game was, "we have alot of work to do". ARE YOU FUCKING SERIOUS TOM!!
What the hell were you doing up in Napa for a month and a half. WINE-TASTING!
You cocksucker. I don't need to hear shit from a PC with this guy. He's full of "standardized bullshit". He's right though. We got a lot of work to do, and that's getting ready to look for a new coach if this rubbish continues. I'm with Mike Leach just for starters,a s a replacement.

I agree with everything you said right up until the "I'm with Mike Leach" comment. C'mon Rob, you can't possibly be serious. If Mike Leach is such a great offensive mind, why is he unemployed right now? Gimmicky spread offenses belong in the college game, not in the pors. I swear to God Almighty, as bad as a judge of NFL-quality players and NFL-worthy head coaches Al is, I think some Raider fans could amazingly do even worse.
What this team needs is a no-nonsense, established coach with a proven track record who is given total control to bring in his own staff and players and who will exorcise the Raiders organization of scholarship players, busted high draft picks and the never-ending losing culture that looms ominously over this franchise like a black cloud. We all know that that will NEVER happen as long as Al's alive and keeps running the ship into the ground.
My advice: Get used to the retreads, have-been's and never-were's for head coaches that Al embarrassingly parades around in his seemingly annual overhead projector press conferences. That's the garbage we're stuck with until the old man isn't around anymore.

As much as I hate to say it, the Raider Nation's hopes and prayers of ever becoming a good football team under Davis again is probably all on Cable.
Cause if he gets fired, then WHAT? Is any big time coach really gonna want to come here? Are we gonna have another halfway decent draft (doubtful)?
Cable better get his shit together. Hue too.

Mike Leach maybe a gamble, but he has an attitude that says, he'll at least try. He isn't in the NFL because teams are waiting to see how this Texas Tech thing plays out (if it hasn't been settled). I know i wouldn't want Cowher.
A Jim Tressel-type ain't the fucking answer either. Miss me with that crappy win Saturday. The "O" beat an undisciplined the "U", and had ya frustrated for a minute. 'Bama will be National Champs.
Cable is on the shortest of leashes... I doubt he has until Week 8

Rob, you'd rather have Mike Leach as Head Coach insted of Bill Cowher? Good God, I've heard it all now.
Jim Tressel isn't going anywhere. He's at his dream job. Miami's lucky the offense wasn't firing on all cylinders, or else the Bucks would've put up 50 on them. So much for Ohio State being "slow". The "U"' Hurricanes got downgraded to a tropical storm. :)
